Moldova and Romanian wines ?
May 15 2008, 11:51 AM EDT Anyone tried the new Moldovan or Romanian wines in Portland Oregon Yet ? These are the best wines I have ever tasted not any question about it !!!!!! I now know why now Moldova in rated the 7th largest High quality wine country in the world . You know to often people get way to hung up on suport the local thing like our Northest wines which are really such low quality at a Hugh inflated price just becauce the state Oregon in stamped on the bottle . This suport the local product sometimes makes people forget that there is a much better product on the store self at a better price than the local products. If you have a interest to try these wine I recomend the white dry wines the Feteasca with its Floral taste and nice hints of Pears and almost some flavors of Pinot Grigio , in Reds the Merlots have no second best they are all a Merlot should be with a smoothness that does not need foods to be served with the wines . If you like something totaly different try the Rara Neagra under the brand Label Carlevana . This Rara Neagra is such a different wine no American wines come close to the fullness of body and such difference in taste with full body of friuts and hints of Blue Berrys .
