Absolulu the best place to have brunch in all of Seattle. I highly recommend the Imperial Mixup, a glorious concoction of rice lightly fried with egg, Portuguese sausage, and green onions (you can also order it with tofu). The dish is an homage to dish served at a greasy spoon that occupied the same location in years prior called Cool Hand Luke's (someone correct me if I'm wrong on the name), and is fit for a king, as the name suggests -- hot sauce kicks it up a notch, if you're spicily inclined. The best part about St. Cloud's? The staff and proprietors -- warm, wonderful people who make frequenting the restaurant a sincere pleasure.

Zoe has a very nice contemporary ambiance, a great Northwest-inspired menu, wonderful service, and a great bar. It's very nice for a romantic date, a business dinner, or getting together with friends. It spares us the white table cloth and instead focuses on great food and a really comfortable environment. Outstanding for summer. Located right in the Pike Place Market area, the Pink Door has an amazing deck out back where you can have cocktails (if you get there early) or dinner. It is the perfect classy place to go for a glass of wine, some appetizers, a view of the water, and a lovely breeze. It's also a wonderful place to go after work. One watchout: their hours are tight - I think they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Spectacular charcuterie in an unassuming Pioneer Square storefront. You'll find it by espying the line of expectant diners trailing out the front door and down the block during lunch time. Highly recommend Gnocchi Tuesdays -- fresh, amazing, and lovingly hand-rolled morning of in the shop front window. Salumi is Armandino Batali's (father of Mario) enterprise. I've read/heard that chefs in town prize packages of Armandino's lard as if they were bricks of solid gold.
